A party cannot be formed while summoning a boss. You cannot form a party while a dark portal is summoned. Only the party leader can summon the dark portal. The party leader cannot be delegated if the dark portal has already been summoned. The dark portal will disappear after 10 min of idleness or in 30 min after being summoned. There's no penalty for death while fighting the boss summoned from the dark portal.
