Yaak was one of the Five Rings of Illezra. He held the position of the ring finger. Yaak took over the Abandoned Iron Mine for a time. Because he used to wear armor head to toe, most people did not know he was a Ferrid. Using Illezra's magic, he could extinguish the fire within his body to hide himself among the other races. He was able to swiftly take over the Abandoned Iron Mine, and supply Illezra with its resources.
