The Path to Destruction Begun Without a moment's rest, I crossed over to the Kingdom of Balenos. And having returned to Cron Castle, I beheld a terrible sight in the ruins. The Black Divine Tree had already taken root in Cron Castle. As I had expected, Hadum had come into this world. I hurriedly dug up the sapling and placed it inside my pocket. And immediately, a vision of tremendous pain and hell opened up before me. Every step I took, I was struck with a fear comparable to death itself, and yet, I dared not give up for the sake of my wife and daughter I had left at home. I barely made it to the village nearby, and placed the sapling in a crystal marble I obtained from the general goods vendor. I had to eliminate Hadum's power from the tree sealed inside the marble, a task so dangerous that I headed towards a rarely frequented, remote place. Then I found a cave, and set up camp deep within.
