January 23 I talked with the little child at the outpost. The little child was born from a household with long line of hunters, and she spent most of the time at this outpost. The little child aspired to become a famous hunter. The child's goal was to establish a village bearing the her name. I admired the little child's dream, but at the same made fun of it. ‘I think it'll be faster for me to become the chief of Velia than you establishing a village bearing your name. Hahaha!‘ The little child pouted and claimed that she'll win the hunting contest that'll be held tomorrow. What's that? A hunting contest? Thinking about the hunting contest made my heart beat with excitement again. I held a matchlock first before I even learned how to walk and take the first step! I promised the little child to participate together in the upcoming hunting contest. I couldn't fall asleep. The mere thought of entering the contest made me excited. What should I hunt to win fame and recognition? A crying Kuku bird? Maybe a giant boar from my village? No, I am going to have to hunt something bigger.. like the giant bear that roams the Balenos Mountains.
